Participation '2ND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS OF ADHESIVES 2022' (IAA 2022)
Within KU Leuven, part of the research was presented at the IAA 2022 conference that took place on March 3-4, 2022 in Carvoeiro, Algarve - Portugal.
IAA 2022 is an international conference that takes place every 2 years. Here the most recent trends within an industrial context are presented to a diverse audience consisting of industry and academia (https://web.fe.up.pt/~iaa2022/). Within KU Leuven, Sofie Verstraete gave a presentation that shows the influence of short fiber filled thermoplastic composites produced by an injection molding process on the stress distribution in an adhesive bond. The main influence discussed here is the variability of the fiber orientation that occurs during this production process as it has a direct influence on the global and local material stiffness of the substrate.
